Redefining the Internet as one of people commodities today

Talking about internet on the internet itself

Nowadays young generation doesn’t read books, journals, magazines and newspapers, the prefer the internet. And really why should they if they have excellent possibilities to find everything necessary on-line. Except information you can find a lot of other different things that can widen your outlook. You can visit Louver gallery with famous Mona Lisa, sitting comfortably in your armchair in front of computer screen.

You can also order different services. If you log on to Internet you can purchase anything you can imagine. Just clicking a right button, you can order term paper or pizza, or tickets to a rock concert. Your term paper order will be done easily; pizza will be tasty and day – just wonderful due to Internet services. Internet without doubt is a blessing for those who have no time and opportunities to go shopping. Besides commercial part of Internet one can also find a wide range of ways of communication. You can chat; use ICQ, instant messengers or an e-mail. With the help of new invention, like a web-camera, you can even see whom you are talking to. Thus you can see that people can practically live on-line, because it is possible to work on-line, study on-line, have fun on-line and even date on-line. But is virtual world a good place to spend your time? People can spend up to 18 hours sitting at the computer. No matter how well is screen protection installed, it is still very harmful not only for your eyes, but also for your organism. Can you imagine your body being x-rayed 18 hours in a row? But this is exactly what happens when you spend days in front of your computer. We can’t but mention considerate parents’ worries about what their kids read and see on-line. Except useful information there, children can find different sites that carry not very useful information. That’s why there are some servers that filter out information your computer receives. We can’t but mention the consequences of sitting in front of the computer all the time. It turns people into typical couch potatoes. They don’t care to stand up and go for a walk or to have some physical exercises. This can result into numerous ailments and problems.

Internet is an isolator too. No matter how much you communicate on-line, it doesn’t give you a credit in speaking with live people. You don’t see facial expressions, gestures, don’t hear their voices. That can tell much about your friend. On-line you have no choice but to believe in anything that is said to you. Then don’t be mad if somebody deceives you. You didn’t know the person well; all you knew was his/her e-mail or ICQ number. Using services provided in the Internet one has to be very careful, not to get in trouble. But what can we do without it nowadays? Due to internet a lot of other businesses started to prosper. We are talking about age of information. How can it exist without Internet? Of course, there are some advantages and disadvantages of internet, but we can’t refuse ourselves in pleasure to get into the world of virtual wonders.

Connecting people with wireless satellite internet

As technology advanced forward, many of the things we’ve taken for granted for years are being reborn under the banner of wireless or wireless satellite Internet. Of course, we’re talking about a lot more than just receiving the Internet from a satellite connection. Many other technologies have also obtained new life through the use of “sky birds.”

Some of the most visible changes in technologies has been in communications and entertainment. Cellular telephones use satellite services to bounce signals literally around the world. Although cell phone service is typically within a 2 mile radius of a cellular tower, by using the power of stationary satellites, a signal or connection on a cell phone can be routed to wherever another cell tower can be found. This is especially good news for those people who tend to be in more remote areas.

Wireless satellite Internet is a connection to the web that’s available anywhere the sky can be seen. Using a satellite to make the connection into the web holds the promise of all the web all the time, anytime. The always on no matter where you are can be a major benefit for many people. This feature is especially promising for serious followers of sports, sport teams, news, weather junkies, stock reports, etc. Imagine anytime, all the time, whenever there’s a computer to be able to log into you Internet connection using wireless satellite Internet services.

Another technology that falls under the umbrella of wireless satellite Internet is the whole television genre. Companies like Direct Way and Dish Network are rapidly building infrastructure that replaces traditional antennae or cable television reception options. For about the same price as cable-TV a clear view of the southern sky will deliver crystal clear television with all popular channels.

Movies on Demand is an up and coming technology that will literally allow you to order movies to watch whenever you want. No more being tied to the start times of the networks, cable companies or even the satellite entertainment providers. All movies, whenever, all the time is the driving force behind the wave of wireless satellite internet growth in this fast paced industry.

Just what is all this Wi-Fi wireless internet stuff they are trying to confuse and torment me with?

Wireless internet is actually quite simple, useful and most of all convenient.

All you probably want to do is to share your wireless internet connection throughout your home whether it be to other computers or so that you can sit in your bedroom and wirelessly surf the internet or send email. Perhaps as well you wish to share files such as songs throughout the computers in your house, apartment or condo.

Don’t let them confuse with all this alphabet soup - b , g , a , 11 megabytes , 54 , 108.

To begin with most any of the systems are beyond overkill. All will go faster than the even high speed broadband internet. Most use the same frequency as the standard cordless phones (2.4 GHz). . Be reassured the phones and the wireless internet in most cases will co- exist and work well with each other.

The most common wireless setups wireless b and g use the frequency most cordless phone use. G wireless internet is sort of a faster b standard. What is important to know is that it is all standardized. B will work with G and G products will work with B. G is said to up to 5 times faster than B that is assuming that you are relatively close. G wireless is very useful primarily if you are sharing large files between computers. For ordinary browsing b wireless is still overkill speed, faster as said than most broadband wireless internet connections. The usual stated range of these wireless products is 300 feet indoors range and 1000 feet outside. The range is basically line of sight. Heavy dense objects – primarily metal, metal doors, metal foil insulation, heavy bricks and pipes and objects such as furnaces, metal filing cabinets will block reception to some degree. As well if the manufacturer makes some ultra high speed claims remember that both the router and wireless network adapters will have to be that brand and that special computer networking hardware feature to work at those high speeds and transmission rates. Remember to that wireless internet transmission speeds fall rapidly with distance.

Wireless internet is basically a radio setup with a transmitter and receivers. The transmitter is a box that plugs into the internet to share your internet connection. This is called a “Router “. . Wireless routers are made by a number of manufactures and the most widely known are the Linksys and D-Link brands. All routers are fairly good now. Tech support may be something to consider for setup ease. Routers are often sold on sale at big box stores as a means of drawing customers who already have at least one computer into their stores. It is reasoned that if a customer wants to buy a router the odds are good that he or she has more than one computer and once in the store will make additional purchases .Perhaps they will be even so fed up with the older computer as the kids have taken use of the newer faster model that the customer will even buy a additional new computer from the store.. The routers that you will find on sale will most likely be the newer g standard routers which will work with your B or G wireless network adapters in your computers.

Secondly you will need a receiver to receive the wireless internet signal at the computer end. You will have several options depending on your setup. If your laptop is a newer model then you may have a wireless “network adapter:” already built into your laptop. If you have an older laptop you can install a PCMCIA wireless network adapter into the credit card sized slot on your laptop. If you have a desktop computer you will have several options. If you have the abilities and are allowed by your warranty to open your computer case then you can install a standard PCI wireless card. The advantage of the PCI cards is that they almost always work, are screwed in so that they cannot be dislodged to stop working. The disadvantage is that the antenna of the card is hidden behind the metal of the computer case limiting reception. Another option is USB wireless adapters. Not only can the USB wireless adapter be installed without opening the case but as well with a USB extension cord the YSB network adapter can be lifted away from the computer to a higher more open place.

Several points on setup to make your life easier. After all networking is often called “Voodoo Science “. First if you are buying both the wireless internet adapters as well as the router try to buy the same brand, There will be easier setup , perhaps faster speed and tech support will not be able to blame the other vendor’s product for setup issues. You can tell tech support even after the return period of the store: “I guess the products are defective and have to be replaced “. There will be no issue of blaming the other vendor’s product. Case closed. Secondly most of the routers are setup by a “web based interface “. Some will come with an install disc as wizard. With others you will enter a web address usually 192.168.x.x and a password. To enter this setup interface. The instructions and passwords should be in either your instructional manual or disc that came in the box with your router. If you have a standard cable broadband account then just follow instructions if you have a DSL type of broadband internet connection then you will need the paper the phone company gave you with your internet account name and setup password. The type of connection that you set up in the router for DSL connections is called “POPE” The connection internet connection password is most likely different than your email password. This internet connection password is of very little value to anyone else. If you do not have this information phone your DSL provider tech support.

Next install the wireless internet adapters. Windows XP has its own wireless utility program installed. With previous versions of windows (Windows 98, 2000 and ME) you will have to install the utility program that the manufacturer provided on the install disk.

Most of his install manuals have 2 different sets of instructions – one for Windows XP, the other for the remaining operating systems.

When you setup the router you will be given a choice of whether to turn on the security features so that other people can drive up in front of your house and freeload your internet signals. It is anyone’s choice whether they wish to use this feature or not.
Believe me there will be no shortage of wireless internet connections for those freeloaders – estimate is 60 %. You can say to yourself if someone wants to waste gas to sit in front of my home to download songs or whatever good for them . If you wish to turn on the scrambling to sign onto your internet it will be in the advanced wireless or wireless security section of your router control panel. There are a number of choices. Most common is a setup called “WEP” (Web Enabled Protection)… This is available in a standard 64 bit or more secure 128 bit WEP settings. 64 bit setup is easier. 128 bit has you enter a long string of characters twice. Lots of fun with mistakes on entering those digits correctly. The easier to use security setup routines will allow an easy to use phrase code generator. For example in the phrase code generator you enter the word Badgerlinux. The number / character code will then be generated that you must enter both the router and wireless adapter ends of your system. WEP is considered by purists not as secure as a newer system called WPA. Not all of the older hardware supports WPA. You may look at it as – if someone in my area can break into my WEP protected wireless system then that is the least of my troubles.

Lastly the biggest problem with wireless internet networks in neighbors. That is right neighbors. It is estimated that 40 % of wireless products are returned to big box stores. There are 12 available channels available in the wireless router settings. For convenience and to aid setup most brands of routers place the default channel of their routers as channel 6 right in the middle of the 12 channels available. It does not take much a signal at all to confuse your wireless adapter. You will see signal strength of your wireless route signal but you will unable to get a solid internet connection.

Worse yet this phenomenon of no wireless internet connection may be sporadic. In many cases you will not be able to even spot the culprit in your wireless configuration software.

Remarkably wireless internet signals can travel a fair distance and may even appear to come out of nowhere. Worse yet the interference may be on sporadic. And as said it does not take much of a signal at all to leave you with no internet connection.

The answer is simplicity itself. “Change the Channel “. There are 12 available channels in your router setup control panel. The next 2 choices for wireless channel selection are at the 2 ends of the spectrum – channels 1 and 11. However it may simply be a matter of trial and error.

Wireless internet is rather amazing, you can surf the world, download songs, send email and transfer files conveniently at high speed and at some distance away from your internet connection. In addition you do not have to call or pay electrician to string the internet network wiring in your home. And if you wish to move the computers or even move just pickup and make the move.

If in the end you are having troubles on setup do not feel afraid to call tech support. Someone in India or the Philippines will be more than happy to assist you. Remember in the end you have the ultimate threat of all, that is to take your new Wi-Fi wireless internet products back to your store of purchase.

Rural areas needs a long-range wireless phone extender to overcome communication problem

This article on Long-Range Phone Extender is devoted for the purpose of discussing the method of extending a phone, fax and internet (low-speed access) connection up to a distance of 10 to 200 km. A scenario: businessman-supplier is doing business supplying raw materials found only in a place where communication service is hard to establish. His business requires that he establish contact with his buyers to check on prices, etc. What is the most cost-effective solution in order to have access to communication- voice and data or fas/internet.

Consider also the case of a mother yearning to establish a home-based internet business. Home-based workers can take advantage long-range phone extender to work from the comfort of their homes like submitting articles or doing email marketing on-line. Basically, a home-based worker will need a broadband internet connection, but there are some type home-based business activities that can be served using phone extenders for internet access.

In cases where using Outdoor Long-Range WLAN and other wireless broadband technology is not a feasible communication option owing to terrain and distance from source (Pt A) to remote village (Pt B), an appropriate solution would be to use a Wireless Long-Range Phone Extender.

A Wireless Long-Range Phone Extender is a fixed-wireless radio equipment capable of extending or hauling a fixed-line (analog landline) dial tone wirelessly to very long-distances. For it to work, you will need a pair (two units) of radio called a base station radio and remote station. It is not the traditional two-way radio but its operation is very similar.

Long Range Phone Extender base and remote station units work in tandem. The only difference is that phone-extenders utilizes full-duplex function so that users in both ends can hear each other simultaneously while talking unlike a normal push-to-talk two radio. Just like two-way radios the phone extender’s radio antenna must be elevated via an antenna tower.

The secret to its long-distance transmission capability is on its power output and frequency. Phone extenders use VHF and UHF frequency, the level capable of reaching very long-distance. The lower the frequency and the higher the power output, the higher will be the transmission range.

A phone extender with an output power of 25Watts can reach as much as 200Km on point-to-point communication. Added functionality is fax and modem compatibility such that you can receive fax messages and use dial-up internet access on the remote site.

Internet speed can reach up to 56Kbps or lower depending on the quality of the communication line. Some long-range phone equipment offers reliable data speed even beyond a distance of 100Km.

Wireless Long-Range Phone Extender is very ideal for remote islands, jungles, remote resorts and villages. It is widely used in remote places in the world owing to its reliability and simple operation. Big savings on long-distance call can be derived since you’re using an extended local line. You can call such local area even if its 100 km away free at no extra long-distance charges.

In the case above, the businessman can save much on communication cost by having to call his buyer via a phone extender with unlimited calling instead of using a service that charges per minute long-distance call.

Is long-range wireless LAN finally the answer for cost-effective internet access in remote regions?

The physical and geographic location of some remote regions of the world has made it difficult to establish a reliable long-range Wireless LAN thus depriving it full benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Linking remote communities to the so-called communications highway by landline or by any of the available fixed-line systems is simply expensive and financially not viable. The reality of few subscribers in rural areas can dampen every investor’s enthusiasm.

Notwithstanding the phenomenal growth of cellular-mobile phones that brought tremendous impact to communication, high speed connection to the internet, is very much limited with early generation GSM/CDMA phones and to some extent next generation mobile wireless networks. It would take years for 3G technology to make an impact in remote regions.

In order to catch-up with the ICT bandwagon, fill-in the demand for broadband connectivity and services in un-served areas, an opportunity awaits to be tap by utilizing long-range Wireless LAN (WLAN) and long-range cordless telecom platforms (also called as phone extender) which are fast gaining ground as a reliable, secure and cost-effective alternative to delivering broadband communications services in remote areas.

This articles aims to harness and leverage new emerging Long-Range Wireless LAN technology to compliment existing fixed-line network resources and improve delivery of data communications in remote regions of the world.

Discover how Long-Range Wireless LAN will answer the requirement for a true cost-effective solution internet access in remote regions.

WIFI INDOOR VS OUTDOOR LONG-RANGE WIRELESS LAN PLATFORM:

There are two types of Wireless LAN which is synonymous to short-range and long-range communication: indoor and outdoor.

Indoor type equipment refers to traditional device, as the word suggest, connotes limited transmission coverage within 30-50m and up to 900m when fitted with outdoor antenna. However, being fitted with outdoor antenna does not make them true outdoor equipment. Synchronization and reliable operation are sometimes sacrificed. Indoor-type Wireless LAN equipment are “off-the-shelf”, commercially available equipment that can be obtained from computer dealers. It is designed purely for indoor use.

The second type is outdoor long-range Wireless LAN. The difference lies in the design and intended application. Some WLAN manufacturers are concentrating on making outdoor equipment, designing them for maximum transmission coverage while maintaining data throughput.

Outdoor Long-Range Wireless LAN is designed to be robust, resilient, reliable, secure and weatherproof. As “true-outdoor” unit (as oppose to indoor fitted with outdoor antenna), both radio unit and antenna are installed outdoors utilizing Power-over-Ethernet (POE note: power is feed via CAT 5 cable) thus resulting in minimal gain loss because of their shorter antenna cables.

Depending on the radiated power (250mW to 1 watt to 4 watts) and antenna-type (Omni, Flat-Panel, Yagi, Parabolic and Dish) range can reach from 9km to 60km long enough to reach remote areas. Data transmission speed varies though with up to 11Mbps max for 802.11b model with auto-fallback going 5.5 or 2Mbps sacrificing speed/throughput in favor of reliable transmission and up to 54Mbps and 108Mbps (in turbo-mode) for some 802.11g/a model also with auto-fallback.

Outdoor Long-Range Wireless LAN on bridge and point-to-point mode can reach as much as 60Km transmission distance in open terrain (line-of-sight). Truly, Long-Range Wireless LAN is a cost-effective solution for rural internet access.

Redefining Wireless Fidelity as it should be

What is Wireless Fidelity?

Wifi or Wireless Fidelity, allows you to connect to the internet from virtually anywhere at speeds of up to 54Mbps. WiFi enabled computers and handsets use radio technologies based on the IEEE 802.11 standard to send and receive data anywhere within the range of a base station. Wireless is a technology that’s inexpensive, easy to use, and practical and yet… it’s a technology that’s still very young. Here’s a quick look at what the future could hold for wireless.

The Radio and the Phone

Wireless networks will always win over wired ones, if for no other reason, simply because it is much cheaper for signals to travel through the air than it is to install and maintain wires. For example… consider that telephones were originally used for sending and receiving news reports. When radio was invented, this stopped almost overnight – why bother going to all that expense when it’s free ‘over the air’? The same principle applies to computer networking.

Imagine having a choice between a wired Internet connection and a wireless one. The only reason to choose a wired connection would be cost because currently it’s cheaper? However, that will change soon. Wireless is also easier. Once the cost gap closes, if given the opportunity, there’s no logical reason why anyone wouldn’t switch to a wireless connection.

WiMAX

WiMAX is the next generation of wireless. It will use a standard called 802.16. The current standard is 802.11. It’s still a work in progress, but the possibilities are exciting.

WiMAX stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access and is designed to complement existing wireless equipment… rather than replace it. The big advantage of WiMAX is that it greatly increases range. Rather than being measured in square meters, which is how the current standard is measured in, WiMAX ranges will be measured in square kilometers. Some estimates say the best WiMAX stations will be able to transmit up to 50 kilometers or about 30 miles!

Clearly, this opens an incredibly wide range of possibilities. Wireless access would move from LANs (Local Area Networks) to MANs: (Metropolitan Area Networks) covering a whole town or city with wireless access. The question would no longer be if you could connect via wireless, but what WiMAX network you wanted to connect too.

Other benefits of WiMAX include speed of up to 70Mbps (almost 10 MB per second) and better security. Imagine a future where ordering Internet access is as simple as connecting your existing wireless equipment to the network, opening your web browser and buying a low cost subscription. That’s it – done. No more access points, no more routers, no more configuration… just wireless Internet, anywhere and everywhere at broadband speeds. WiMAX is in the process of taking the world by storm.

For the latest news on WiMAX visit the WiMAX Forum (a non-profit industry group set up to promote WiMAX) at http://www.wimaxforum.org. WiMAX has been in development since 2001 and the first WiMAX equipment is expected to hit the market in late 2005 or early 2006.

What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a new standard for short range radio connectivity. It is the new and promising field in the wireless communications standardization activities, which will profoundly affect the operation and applications of electronic gadgets of the future. The most obvious purpose of Bluetooth technology is to replace USB and it’s designed to eventually replace almost every wire there is… except power cables. What does that mean? It means that someday your TV could be connecting to your DVD player via Bluetooth or your speakers could connect to your radio with it, and so on and so on.

As you get older, expect to see fewer and fewer wires. I know… people said the same thing about paper but it turns out that people like paper and don’t want a ‘paperless society’. On the other hand, how many people do you know who have cable or wire fetish? The biggest remaining article is reliable wireless power. When they figure out how to provide reliable wireless power (i.e. better batteries)… look out because the flood gates will really open up.

A Simpler Life

Convenience… the first benefit of wireless technology that comes to my mind. Wires have so many flaws, especially when they go long distances and the overall wireless project is to remove the vast majority of them from our lives. Of course, another nice benefit will be cost because once wireless if up and going full-bore it will cost less than wire based transmission.

My prediction… within 10 years, wireless access will be making everyone’s life much easier and it will be the norm. The future is wireless!

What’s happen with wireless internet terminology?

Defining the wireless internet terminology from our point of view

Wireless Internet Terminology, like many things in life, especially those that have anything to do with computers is filled with terminology. But like most things, once you learn a few of the basic terms, understanding will come quickly. So don’t be confused get informed about wireless internet and to help clarify, I’ve put together a basic wireless internet-to-english guide to help you along.

IEEE – The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
The IEEE is in charge of the wireless networking standard, as well as many other computer-related standards – including the Ethernet standard. They ensure that computer equipment made by different manufacturers can work together.

PCMCIA – Personal Computer Memory Card International Association
Simply another standard for how to plug credit card size devices into a laptop computer to boost it’s capabilities. It’s been suggested by some that it should stand for “People Can’t Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms”. PCMCIA is a great way of adding wireless networking to your laptop as easily as inserting a disk.

PCI – Peripheral Component Interconnect
Used to install devices like graphics cards and network devices inside your computer. You would be using a PCI, if you wanted to install a wireless card inside your computer.

802.11
Set by the IEEE, it’s the current wireless networking standard. It helps ensure that wireless devices can communicate with one another or in other words – they are interoperable.

Interoperable
Simply means that two different pieces of equipment have the ability to speak to each other or another way to put it – they are compatible. They can use them together because they were designed using the same standards. Because of the IEEE and the principle of interoperability, all wireless equipment you purchase should be compatible.

Driver
Not a piece of golf equipment but computer software that informs a computer how to talk to devices that plug into it. Most wireless networking drivers come on a CD-ROM. You then download the drivers from the CD onto your computer.

Ethernet
Currently, the most common way of connecting to a LAN or Local Area Network. Most wires connected to your computer today are ethernet and if you have a cable internet connection an ethernet wire is in all likely-hood, what is being used to connect to your modem to set up a wireless internet connection.

USB – Universal Serial Bus
A port used for connecting all sorts of devices to a computer, including keyboards, a mouse, printers, external hard-drives and basically anything else you can think of. If you don’t have a laptop or want to open up your computer you can get a USB wireless device.

WEP – Wired Equivalent Privacy
No longer used because in 2001 it was found to have security issues. As a result, it is now the old standard for encrypting wireless networks.

WPA – WiFi Protected Access
The new standard for encrypting wireless networks. An upgrade of WEP to fix security issues. To avoid becoming vulnerable, a WPA encrypted network changes encryption methods often. In addition, if an attack is detected, it has the ability to shut itself down for thirty seconds.

PAN – Personal Area Network
A network of devices connected together in one small area. A simple example of a PAN would be your computer, USB keyboard and mouse. Using a technology called Bluetooth, a PAN can be wireless.

LAN – Local Area Network
Briefly mentioned above, LAN is a computer network that… generally speaking is confined to one building, such as a home or office. A wireless LAN is also known as a WLAN.

MAN – Metropolitan Area Network
A network that covers a larger area, like a city or town. They are expensive but a wireless MAN has the capacity to spread wireless Internet access across a wide area. Many college universities set-up a MAN to connect the entire campus.

WAN – Wide Area Network
A network that covers or connects to more than one physical site. A simple example would be a business that has locations in different cities, states or countries and they need them each location connected on the same network. The Internet itself is a WAN… the biggest WAN in the world.

Mbps – Megabits Per Second
Not to be confused with MBps, megabytes per second. Mbps is measurement of connection speed. There are eight megabits in a megabyte.

GHz – Gigahertz
One gigahertz is one billion cycles per second… it’s a measurement of frequency. If the term sounds familiar it’s probably because it’s also used to measure the processing speed of the CPU on your computer, which is also measured in gigahertz.

Linux
A popular and growing alternative operating system to Windows. Linux is a less bulky, more efficient operating system in many ways than Windows and not to mention – it’s free. Many servers run Linux for this reason. Computers running Linux can run many programs and connect to the Internet without needing Windows. Many wireless internet devices run Linux or are compatible with it.

Looking for cheap wireless internet services?

Let’s talk about cheap wireless internet services

For most people, Wi-Fi Hot Spots are the easiest way to get cheap wireless internet services. But emerging 3G wireless technology makes it possible to true wireless broadband internet service get the speed to go with your laptop computer.

Mobile Internet services give you a relatively fast connection speeds of up to 300 to 500 kbps and when these compounds are not available, most providers have a backup connections in the 60-80 kbps range. However, the technology is still in its infancy (here in the U.S. anyway) and prices will likely fall as more people begin to use and service providers are forced to aggressively compete for customers.

Verizon, AT & T, Alltel, T-Mobile and Sprint all offer wireless cards and USB modems provide broadband internet service. They all work with both Windows and Mac operating systems and you can also use them for internet access on your home PC or Mac.

Some providers let you connect using specific mobile phone models as a modem. But the easiest way is with a card, either directly connected to your laptop or connecting a USB cable.

Wireless Internet Providers

An increasing number of users to get online using high-speed broadband connections and users are given a wider choice of how they access the Internet. For users a little more freedom than a normal fixed line services with cheap wireless internet services, which allows them to share their broadband connection from anywhere in their home or office use.

Getting onto the cheap wireless internet services

When choosing to get online using wireless Internet users have one of the two options available to them. Many ISPs offer broadband wireless Internet as part of their packages and go with these providers is the first option. The second, which will require users to have a good understanding of IT equipment, the standard fixed line connections to get a wireless router and then buying an IT equipment reseller. The first option is ideal for new wireless Internet users or those with limited knowledge of IT equipment and the wireless routers provided by ISPs are already in place and simply need to be connected and the installation of any software provider. The second option is the more complex method as a router bought from a store will be configured for the provider that is providing fixed line broadband connection. Each choice is suitable for different users, with the first meeting of new wireless Internet users, and the second choice for users who know how to set up a wireless Internet router itself.

Who will use cheap wireless internet services?

The flexibility of wireless Internet in combination with the fact that it is becoming easier for beginners to use this technology to access the internet is beginning to turn to an increasing number of users for many different reasons. The most obvious reason is the freedom that comes with having wireless internet access and that users no longer need to use cables to connect to the router in their office or home. This eliminates the need to actually get stuck in a fixed location and offers wireless internet users to switch from the network ports or routers that they would normally have to use the network. Another big advantage is the ability to have multiple computers at home or at work, meaning that the lack of space is no longer a problem if users can put their computers whenever they want.

Compare cheap wireless internet services with similar services

Although wireless Internet enables users a degree of freedom does have stiff competition from its biggest rival, broadband and 3G mobile broadband as it is more commonly known. Mobile broadband, as opposed to wireless Internet, uses a mobile network provider to enable users to the Internet, meaning that the user much more freedom than Wi-Fi internet access. The downside of mobile broadband, is that the connection speeds much slower than fixed line connections through Wi-Fi. In comparing these two broadband users will have to think about what they want to benefit from their service. For users who want a fast connection and a little more freedom to work wherever they want at home or at work over Wi-Fi is the option to go for. If, however, users are looking for the cheap wireless internet services to go online where they are and do not feel the speed is the key factor for mobile broadband is the most suitable choice.

This is a neat little hack that I found last week when looking for a new cell phone plan, so I’m just a Sony Ericsson user and plans from T-Mobile come with unlimited data transfer for laptop wireless internet services on their EDGE network. (By the way, the way this works with other Sony devices on other networks and possibly other smartphones.)

I immediately installed the mobile version of Gmail (never even bothered to look at the Sony Ericsson standard Mail application), Google Maps, and 3rd party program to sync with Google Calendar. I am very pleased with the whole experience given that I assumed would be more cost for the “Internet on mobile phones” the whole experience. Amazingly, it did not. I pay the same monthly price ($ 59.99) as before with Cingular, but now I get all these new “web” functions.
However, then I found the killer application, which LifeHack.org really worth! One way to unlimited laptop wireless internet services on the phone to get to transfer to my laptop.

Basically, some people have found ways to use the Sony Ericsson as a wireless modem to create your laptop wireless internet services using bluetooth. It has two main advantages:

* While the usual laptop wireless internet services only available in limited locations, this wireless is widely available (or at least anywhere you have cellular phone service)
* Unlike the T-Mobile wireless hot spots or other paid services, this is a free (or another way to look at it: You’ve paid for it)

And it’s really cool is that if you have a laptop with an integrated bluetooth connection (the MacBook in my case, although some PC’s have too), then the whole process went off without a cable. In fact, you never even took the phone from your pocket! You can come anytime, such as a modem in a few seconds.

(Note: If your laptop does not have a bluetooth it’s works with a USB cable.)

Honestly, your speed is not really on. It had been years, since I have a 56k modem, but from what I remember (and what others have reported) that the speed you get with this set up comparable with a 56k modem.

Does this mean that it is perfect to have in case you have to pull Gmail from a remote location or airport, but you will not get a serious job. However, behind all saved me several times, and after all it is free if your Sony Ericsson can run such laptop wireless internet services, so why not take advantage of it.

How do you feel when you have no home wireless internet services?

Well, let’s get some home wireless internet services

If it feels like you just do not move fast on the internet as you want or cannot get the home wireless internet services at key moments when you are away from home, there are options now available that can overcome such problems. If you have home wireless internet services, you will be able to enjoy all the benefits and services to the online world has to offer, no matter where you are. Wireless Internet now offers speeds much faster than the Internet, allowing you to go online via mobile phone or laptop from anywhere. Everyone today wants to take full advantage of the Internet, which is only understandable. Now you have the opportunity to do so without restriction.

Along with the ability to perform basic functions such as chat and e-mail, home wireless internet services also offers other options, including the ability to receive and send large text, video and image files. These are the activities that were previously only available when you get home, because the speed wireless internet connection is just too slow. If you now get wireless Internet service is a problem to download songs on your iPod or send a presentation for work, anywhere.

There is also another advantage to get home wireless internet services, which should be taken into account. If you have previously used dial-up connection at home, you get wireless internet access, benefits, even if you are at home offers. Through a wireless Internet connection, you can connect to speed as quickly as possible 2 megabytes per second. Compared with traditional methods of the old dial-up, this is a significant improvement. With the increase in connection speed, you will be more in far less time to achieve.

If you now get home wireless internet services you really can keep in touch wherever you are. Check your email on the fly, text friends when you are out on the town, directions or other important information directly from your phone.

While at one time would be unthinkable that we will be able to perform these tasks at all, especially when out and about, these are benefits that modern technology has brought us. Now you can benefit from the advantages of the device you choose, or your laptop, cell phone or other mobile devices.

Although you would think the cost of these services will be expensive, considering the many benefits offered, the price is quite reasonable. This is especially true if you stop all assume that you can do if you Wi-Fi and the freedom to make your mobile device wherever you want to go and still know you’ll stay connected to the whole world to gain with home wireless internet services.

The mighty wireless internet services for laptops is coming

Prepare for the battle of wireless internet services for laptops

Who does not know WiMAX, the wireless internet services for laptops which is highly anticipated arrival of the Internet enthusiast. WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) was born as a solution to fast data services on wireless Internet access. Unlike the 3G and CDMA that are focused on voice services. WiMAX can be positioned as a complementary wireless Internet technology that already exists, namely HSPA (development of 3G) and CDMA2000 1x EV-DO (development of CDMA).

Wireless internet services for laptops, at least divergence will occur again, as well as voice-based mobile technology between GSM and CDMA. In the coming years can be predicted that people would use WiMAX for wireless Internet data access and 3G/CDMA EV-DO for mobile phones. WiMAX data access speeds that can reach 72 Mbps with a range of up to 50 km make this technology very attractive to implement. WiMAX business opportunities in other parts of the world, including operators and equipment vendors slowly but surely wider open.

WiMAX market in Asia is huge and potential. Early users (early adopters) WiMAX predicted in countries with large voice-based cellular penetration but low in the use of wireless internet services for laptops, such as Malaysia, India, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia. Average in this country a new WiMAX tested while waiting for government regulation, business models, and the readiness of the device before it was released into commercial service.

WiMAX Rumors have long heard in Indonesia. Tender for WiMAX operators will soon be in his government at the beginning of 2009. Competition between operators is expected to be exciting. At the start of the major backbone of the tender Palapa Ring which will connect the islands in eastern Indonesia, and the construction of the USO or the main telephone network “rural” and then WiMAX as the “last mile” broadband connections or access on the end. The government will allocate the wireless internet services for laptops to the frequency at 2.3 GHz Mobile WiMAX and Fixed WiMAX at 3.3 GHz. Allocation of Fixed WiMAX in the frequency band is intended to prevent interference to 3.5 GHz frequency bands for satellite communications. While the majority of the frequency band of the most widely used in the world for Mobile WiMAX is 2.5 GHz.

WiMAX equipment vendors local vendors have a lot to show off them, TRG WiMAX, HiMAX 231, and WiMAX chipset maker that is XIRKA. It is expected that with the high local content on the device WiMAX in Indonesia, the national telecommunications industry growing and participate to reduce dependence on foreign telecommunications equipment.

WiMAX Trends The Revolving

The emergence of WiMAX-enabled laptops by vendor computer vendors such as Acer, Toshiba, and Lenovo make a trend increasingly widespread use of this technology. Acer, for example, introduced two new products from Acer Aspire with a model 14 inch 16 inch Aspire 4930-6862 and Aspire 6930-6771. Both laptops are priced at U.S. $ 899 and is armed with Intel’s Centrino 2 platform with processor 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo T7350, 3GB RAM and 320GB hard drive.
Toshiba also introduced a laptop with a WiMAX ready Satellite U405-ST550W with 13-inch model with similar specifications with Acer. While Lenovo is introducing 4 laptops with WiMAX-enabled ThinkPad Series ThinkPad SL300, SL500, T400, and X301.

Not just laptops with embedded WiMAX, 3G phones will also be juxtaposed with WiMAX. The purpose of the unification of mobile WiMAX networks operating in the 2.5 GHz frequency and aims to equalize the frequency of 3G penetration and teledensity mobile internet services in rural and urban areas.

WiMAX Market Opportunities

A study conducted by In-Stat show that the majority of consumers prefer WiMAX as remote data access protocols from three options WiMAX, WiFi, and 3G. WiMAX market will develop intensively up to 133 million users in 2012. However, the success of WiMAX depends on the availability of compatible devices.

According to Juniper Research research institutes, WiMAX is expected to grow significantly after 2010. WiMAX market is expected to be very passionate in the world. Mobile WiMAX service revenues worldwide are expected to grow more than $ 23 billion ahead of 2013, mostly from the United States (U.S.), Japan and South Korea.

Increasing number of emerging low-cost laptops, game consoles and portable handset that lets users access the Internet, it is believed will boost demand for wireless internet services for laptops technology. On the other hand, the lack of availability of equipment and services valued differentiation helped inhibit the growth of WiMAX. Vendors are expected to make devices compatible with WiMAX at the right moment and with the right price. While it is expected that WiMAX service providers can offer a variety of wireless internet services for laptops that will accelerate the development of the WiMAX market.

Taking up high speed wireless internet services to the next level

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – The next generation of high speed wireless internet services, tablet devices, smartphones and other mobile gadgets comes more quickly than expected.

Two of the largest U.S. communications company, AT & T Inc. and Verizon Wireless plans to speed up their networks and deliver a powerful tool for consumers during this holiday season by cooperating with partners such as Motorola Inc., Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics.

AT & T plans to add speed to be three times as much for high speed wireless internet services at home, and twice the wireless network, while Verizon Wireless is ready to launch high-speed mobile phone earlier than previously thought.

“We still have plenty of opportunities in wireless,” said John Stankey, AT & T’s chief operating officer, which ignored the advice some telecommunications analysts today that the industry’s exponential growth has ended.

“We are at the forefront of the growth cycle (10 years) mobile phones today,” he said at the Reuters Global Technology Summit in New York on Friday.

While wireless carriers have to depend on data services for growth, because most people already have cell phones, Stankey saw an opportunity in business applications. When the industry to add wireless connectivity to their devices, such as medical devices and security systems, each vertical business could eventually produce 1 billion in revenue a year, he said.

Stankey announced at the summit that AT & T will be able to have double the speed of high speed wireless internet services in markets covering more than 250 million users in the fourth quarter, using a technology known as HSPA Plus.

Upgrades that require additional investment of several million dollars, a “rounding error” compared to the amount of capital spent on AT & T is increased to 19 billion dollars for 2010, he said.

AT & T Broadband also plans to hold a hearing in June that allows Web surfing with a speed of 80 megabits per second (mbps), far above the current limit of 24 mbps and in excess of 50 mbps service offered by Verizon Communications Inc.

If the test is successful then the commercial service will begin early next year, said Stankey.

LTE Technology

Meanwhile, Verizon Wireless is building high speed wireless internet services of technology-based Long Term Evolution (LTE).

The company Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group Plc plans to offer LTE to the potential customer base of 100 million people in 25 to 30 state marketing area, including New York City later this year, according to Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam.

McAdam also presented his plan launched several new devices began with a tablet device to rival Apple’s iPad her.

He plans to sell most of the gadgets that use Google’s Android Software Inc. in the fourth quarter.

“There’s no reason we cannot have (such devices) iPad,” McAdam said adding that the first tablet device will use the Android software from rivals Motorola, Samsung, and LG.

Verizon Wireless also plans to sell five of LTE mobile phones in May, faster than some analysts estimated. McAdam said that Motorola, HTC Corp., LG, and Research In Motion could run in front.

Verizon has already sold a smart phone HTC Droid Incredible seeing stronger sales than expected. McAdam said the shortage on the screen made by Samsung has hurt the company’s ability to maintain strong demand.

In addition to telephone, wireless networks also encourage U.S. computer technology anywhere.

Renewal of AT & T HSPA Plus was first intended for laptop users and give them double the download speed for watching videos and other heavy-bandwidth applications.

Stankey said it is not clear when compatible phones will be HSPA-plus on the market or whether the vendor will focus on rival technology, LTE, Reuters reported.

He said AT & T spent more time when he had to increase its network capabilities that have been absorbed by the high number of iPhone users who needs high speed wireless internet services.

Stankey said the market like New York and San Francisco, where the high speed wireless internet services network is under huge pressure, must be overcome with good across the region late this summer.

The world needs wireless high speed internet services

How can we get wireless high speed internet services?

At the end of 2010′s top telecom operator will offer faster wireless high speed internet services. Speed “flight” to break the 21 Mbps. Working closely with corporate networks, Ericsson, Huawei and Qualcomm will test HSPA technology (high-speed packet access). This technology can transmit data more quickly and efficiently. Indonesia became the 20th of 28 countries in the world which have used the HSPA network. HSPA is the latest development of the 3.5 G broadband service capable of reaching speed access to download data at up to 21 Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.8 Mbps of data. With fast access speed allows customers to access the Internet much faster and be able to access applications or media content over the Internet easier and faster.

To download music with a capacity of 5 Mb of data when using wireless high speed internet services technology HSPA takes only 2.2 seconds. Meanwhile, when using the internet speed 14 Mbps for downloading the same file takes 3.5 seconds, the internet speed required 6.9 seconds to 7.2 Mbps, and 3.6 Mbps internet speed required 13.9 seconds. When using GPRS to download the same file takes 22 minutes. Increased speed of data access is increasingly expected to provide a high significant time saving an additional channel.

Having managed to get an additional 5 MHz channel for the 3G, both Telkomsel and Indosat are now beginning to introduce the presence of HSPA technology or access to be extra wireless high speed internet services to 21 Mbps. The development of Internet technology-based cellular network is already predicted earlier and the speed of data access will continue to rise towards the long term evolution (LTE) which popularized the term 4G (100 Mbps). Suppose that HSPA is later is going to be a standard for wireless Internet technology. A simple question comes to mind writers, do we really need this HSPA, at least for now?

It seems clear that the roadmap is based on availability of 3G channel gained additional 160 billion worth of it. Honest initially when the writer knows that Telkomsel and Indosat managed to get that extra channel, did not think that HSPA will be available soon. Why? Because it was going to focus on improving the quality of their 3G data connection is already known to be quite disappointing. At first glance the term in the wireless high speed internet services over a cellular network, following general description of actual conditions of the current GPRS (2G), the oldest technology and as a last resort when no available 3G services. Usually base stations in remote areas only have GPRS signal.

GPRS connection to “run” on the range rate of 40 kbps. That’s actually enough when used to access data through mobile phones, but it feels slow when used to surf using a computer. EDGE (2 5G.) speed is much better than GPRS, which is in the range of 150 kbps and their choice of 3G handsets yet, although sometimes the operator does not provide EDGE service at each BTS UMTS. (3G) to become wireless high speed internet services presence with high-speed cellular networks the maximum 384 kbps.

The term 3G finally more popular than the name of UMTS or WCDMA. Together with the presence of 3G devices appear also good phone or a modem to access the Internet through a computer. Most base stations in large cities already supporting this 3G signal. HSDPA (3 5G.) As the next generation of 3G technology to increase data access speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps and even 7.2 Mbps. Technology 3.5 is supposed to have been very ideal for the needs of today’s the Internet is loaded with large amounts of data, provided adequate support to the device (modem or 3.5G mobile phone).

Specifically, for HSDPA, currently not all users can enjoy wireless high speed internet services that fast. The obstacles could be the operator who already transmitted the signal appeared widespread HSDPA is still dominated by the top operators only. In addition to enjoying high-speed access is required the cost is not small. You choose an unlimited internet package for USD $ 10 per month of course can only bite the finger because its data speeds are limited only 256 -384 Kbps only.
Redundant investment?

Some circles regretted investing trillions of dollars being poured telecom operators to deploy HSDPA technology-based network for data access. Redundant or not the adoption of these technologies depends on the operator in terms of looking at the benefits that HSDPA will be given later. HSDPA may be promising data speeds of up to 21 Mbps, but this does not mean that every individual will enjoy the speed of 21 Mbps. There are other important things than that, which is related to the addition of capacity that would get the operator of this network investment. Like a toll lane, this road will further be expanded to use the user. That’s because if the customer service is a lot, between wireless high speed internet services and preparedness network will chase each other.

Telkomsel and Indosat are two operators who have built HSDPA network in Indonesia. Telkomsel to invest 10 percent of total capital spending this year reached Rp 13 trillion to build HSDPA network. Meanwhile, Indosat is still not revealing how much investment. Only by adopting HSDPA, Indosat asserted was not taking a big step to jump into the long term evolution (LTE).

Then, if you feel it’s time to 21 Mbps technology is present in ground water? As someone who hopes that the technology in this country can grow rapidly, we certainly support the presence of this HSDPA technology. However, if you see the reality is still not optimal 3G and HSDPA networks that exist. We can only hope that these additional channels should be used to correct existing deficiencies in the actual condition of 3G, HSDPA, and other wireless high speed internet services only.
